The Holy Great Martyr Catherine lived in the fourth century and was born of the governor of Alexandria, Egypt, under the reign of the Emperor Maximian. St. Catherine was educated within the greatest philosophical traditions of her day. Well versed in worldly philosophy, St. Catherine was baptized and offered herself as a servant of Jesus Christ, acquiring and defending not earthly wisdom, but the Heavenly Wisdom as revealed by the Holy Trinity. St. Catherine became a staunch defender of the Truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ converting many to the Christian faith by her example. St. Catherine was eventually tortured and martyred for her faith. St. Catherine is the Patron Saint of our Fellowship and each of us is invited to seek the Heavenly Wisdom and Love of Our Lord Jesus Christ through the guidance and intercession of our Patroness.

The Church School Children will present a Nativity Program for our parish following the Divine Liturgy on Sunday, December 21st. The program will feature a variety of creative and meaningful presentations by our children celebrating the joy of the Nativity of Our Lord Jesus Christ.
